The school believes in a policy of self-discipline and corporal punishment is strictly forbidden. Positive
reinforcement helps to raise the self-awareness of the child of his/her own rights and corresponding
responsibilities.
Students are expected to abide by the ethos of the school and be tolerant of each of its members. The school
places a lot of importance on the values of respect, cooperation, courtesy and consideration in tune with our
overall philosophy.
However, the school also takes a serious view on bullying and any kind of physical mistreatment. Damage of
school property, violations on dress code and infringement of rules as outlined by the school are not condoned.
Discipline is necessary to inculcate a positive personality and healthy attitudes towards interactions between
peers, students of the opposite sex as well as teachers and adults. The school seeks the active support and
cooperation of the parents in maintaining the high disciplinary standards that will ultimately benefit the child.

Students are grouped into houses to reinforce fraternal bonds and the spirit of camaraderie. There are four houses, namely Hope, Unity, Trust and Patience symbolizing the colours blue, green, yellow and red respectively.
Inter-house events foster a spirit of healthy competition and teamwork. Students achieve points that add to their overall house score culminating in the House Cup awarded to the one with the highest total. |
Student Council
The Head Boy, Head Girl and House Captains are chosen from the senior most class every year. The student leaders epitomize the PSIan spirit and are appointed through a formal investiture ceremony. They are expected to discharge their duties keeping in mind that they are role models and exemplars of the Parkwood philosophy.
