The underlying theme that cuts across academic and co-curricular activities is those guiding principles that all PSIans will carry with them for life. These form the essential ideals that are reinforced both inside and outside the classroom. The core values of the Parkwood ethos are:
  Peace   Honesty   Respect   Time-management
 Humility   Simplicity   Cooperation   Responsibility
  Neatness   Tolerance   Happiness

The Academic Block houses well-ventilated classrooms that can accommodate 24 children in 650 square feet area. The rooms are furnished with independent tables and chairs that ensures comfortable study conditions as well as flexibility of arrangement. Each student receives a locker to store books and stationery.

The school has a well-equipped science laboratory to conduct practical experiments and activities. It is well ventilated and spacious meets the requirements for Physical and Life Sciences. The lab thus supports the activity-based approach here at Parkwood and makes learning far more significant and stimulating.

Aptly entitled 'Rich Pages', the library houses a fine set of reference, fiction and non-fiction books that caters to the varying reading levels of different age groups. Rich Pages is well furnished and spacious, with comfortable tables and chairs that make for a pleasant reading experience.

The library also subscribes to all the leading national dailies and magazines as well as international journals and periodicals. Further, there is a computer networked system, as well as an audio and video collection that can be used for classroom purposes.
A carefully planned reading programme is woven into the academic schedule apart from being a separate activity after school hours and on the weekend. Students are encouraged to make extensive use of the library for projects and reference work.

The Parkwood community uses computers for:

  Academics   Make presentations   Exchange emails
 Report preparation
Exam and Test Schedules   Lesson Plans
 Counsellors Reports   Timetables

The school is oriented in utilizing and encouraging students in making use of the latest technological growth in computing and communications. We have our Audio-Visual Room, the computer lab and will be soon adding the language labs.

The complete campus is computerized over a high speed LAN and an advanced telecommunications system. The Internet connection is over the Hughes VSAT Network, giving 24 hours connectivity.

Parkwood students are motivated and encouraged to interact with their peers from other schools. Mutually beneficial programmes are held periodically to enable networking among teachers and pupils that facilitates sharing of experiences. The children also participate in a number of inter-school competitions to boost their confidence and generate an interest in current affairs and wider knowledge.
