Counselling is a vital component of the curriculum, as Parkwood believes that it is essential to guide children to cope with the challenges of adolescence, develop positive self-esteem and self-confidence. The oncampus counsellor is supported by a senior counsellor to deal with complex issues of growing up peer interactions, peer pressure and coping with stress. The counsellor is a confidant and a friend, helping children to find solutions for their dilemmas.

Parents are given regular updates and detailed reports and they are encouraged to discuss any concerns regarding their child's emotional well-being and any other behavioral issues.

Counselling is most effective with constant reinforcements and parents need to be partners in this process.

Parkwood follows a practice of 'inclusive education' wherein we believe that every child is special and deserves an opportunity to a positive educational experience. We embrace those who have special academic needs or have learning difficulties.

Our Remedial Educators are qualified professionals and work closely with the children to integrate them back into the classroom. The 'Recharge Room' is equipped with educational aids and materials to target the specific skill areas of the child.
Remedial help is also offered when a child has a weak conceptual base that affects his/her academic performance in line with the expected learning levels.
