Change in Campus Telephone Numbers & Registration of Caller Mobile Numbers
This circular is regarding the communication system available to parents to call their wards at the school.
The school has installed a new telephone system to minimize the hardship faced by parents in calling their wards.
Features:
The main features of this newly installed system are:
 |
Introduction of 30 telephone lines |
 |
Automatic Identification of the Caller |
 |
Maintenance of log to track and regulate incoming phone calls in terms of Caller ID and duration of calls |
Changes
Your attention is brought to the following changes in the incoming telephone system, which will be effective from Saturday, 26-Dec-2009.
New Telephone Number
|
(+91) 08416-300 000 |
Screening Process
|
 |
Incoming calls will be automatically checked in the ‘Database of Registered Numbers’. |
 |
Calls from unregistered numbers will be routed through a caller identity screening process, which is time consuming and the call could be declined. |
|
Registration of your Mobile Numbers
 |
By default, the Parent Mobile Numbers as stated in the Database of Students with the school will be taken as the registered numbers. |
 |
In case of any change of Mobile Number, parents must fill in the attached form (Form: RMP) to register the new mobile numbers. |
Notes
| 1. |
If your ward is likely to be disturbed in his/her work or activity, you will be informed accordingly and will be required to call back later. |
| 2. |
Under the new system, please limit your calls to not more than 2 per week, each not exceeding 15 minutes. |
| 3. |
At times there is a possibility that all the extensions of a particular area in the school are busy. In such a case, the caller will be requested to call back later. |
| 4. |
An arrangement with your child in advance of the expected calling times would be beneficial in avoiding disappointments and to save time. |
| 5. |
Hereafter, the old telephone number (08416-274400) will be used as a backup only and will not be available for incoming calls for students. |
| 6. |
Unregistered callers or callers using internet based telephony systems that do not carry the “Caller Identification”, will have to bear with the time delays for satisfactory screening of identification. |
There is no change in the telephone/fax numbers of the City Office
