CONTINUOUS ASSESSMENT PROGRAMME

Dear Parents and Guardians,

Warm wishes from the Parkwood Family!

The first Home Exit of this Academic Year presents you with the opportunity to interact with the teachers to get an update on the academic progress and well being of your ward. In addition to these discussions, you will be issued a ‘Statement of Marks’ based on the Continuous Assessment Programme [CAP] Tests.

This Circular is to appraise you on the details of this programme.

OBJECTIVE

The CAP Test ensures that students maintain a systematic pace of work throughout the year.
It enables testing of a small portion of the syllabus at regular intervals.
Students build a consistent performance over the year and benefit from it, as a percentage of the marks secure in the CAP will factored in the Term Examination Marks.

FREQUENCY

The CAP Tests are held in 3 subjects (4 subjects for IGCSE students) every Saturday. Hence, every subject gets tested twice every month.

SCOPE OF TESTING

The tests primarily cover the lessons taught in the immediate previous fortnight. However, a question or two from the immediately preceding two CAP Tests can be included.

MARKING

All tests are administered out of a maximum of 50 marks. The students receive their corrected answer papers not later than the following Tuesday. The students are required to file all the answer papers and use them for future reference

This short Home Exit is a time for reunion and bonding with the family. Here’s wishing everyone an enjoyable and fun-filled break.

We look forward to having the children back on the 16th.
