Incoming Telephone Calls to the School Campus

1.	The School Campus telephone lines working under the pilot number 08416-274400 are out-of-order since the past 2 weeks. Despite our continuous follow up with the Telecom Department, the problem has not been rectified. The officials of the department have indicated that since the problem is in the underground cables, the replacement of the cables will take another 2 weeks.
2.	The Blanket Period ends on Sunday, 12-July-2009 and students are permitted to receive telephone calls from 7:00am onwards.
3.	In view of the non-functioning telephone lines, the school will be arranging for the students to make outgoing calls from the school.
4.	In keeping with the guidelines mentioned in the PSI Handbook, students will be permitted only one outgoing call to the Parents/Guardians for a duration of five minutes. Requests for additional or longer calls cannot be granted.
5.	Parents and Guardians are requested not to call on the Director’s personal mobile number or any other Staff Member’s telephone number to speak to their wards.
6.	Whilst we appreciate that this inconvenience is occurring at a time when you are most anxious to talk to your wards, we look upon your support and cooperation in overcoming this short term difficulty. This will ensure that we permit all students an equal opportunity to talk to their families.
