SENDING OF PARCELS TO STUDENTS

Dear Parents and Guardians,

Greetings.

The practice of sending parcels to students has been introduced to enable students to receive packages on important occasions such as their birthday, or in the case of an emergency, such as an urgent need of a spare pair of spectacles or special medicinal requirements.

However of late, it has been observed that parcels containing expensive stationery, toiletries, clothes, food supplements etc. are being sent with increasing regularity. The school discourages this practice as it places an unnecessary logistical pressure on the parents and promotes extravagance amongst students. I would also like to point out that the school resource room offers a fairly good quality of toiletries and stationery, though limited in choice.

As a school, we want our children to learn moderation and lead a simple and an independent life. This will also help them to recognize the value of money, its judicious usage and reduce peer imitation.

I look forward to your support and cooperation in this matter.

Best wishes,

M S Ayub
Director
